What we do

Accurate, Fast Results

Calloway controls each step of the urine drug testing process, minimizing possible delays and errors. We closely monitor each specimen throughout the testing lifecycle until results are reviewed and reported to the physician. Results are available via our secure, HIPAA-compliant website or any other method requested by the ordering physician.

Collection and Secure Transport Services

Calloway provides certified on-site collection and courier services throughout the US. Collections performed by Calloway staff use chain-of-custody procedures when necessary. Should the physician’s office be located beyond our courier service area, special packaging is provided for overnight shipping of secure specimens.

High Volume Screening

Our Pain Care Protocol includes high volume urine screening for results within 24 hours. This technology can identify any of 17 drugs, making it one of the most comprehensive portfolios available. We customize this list for each physician depending on the individual requirements of the patient base.

Calloway's screening menu includes oxycodone (Oxycontin®, Percocet®), buprenorphone (Suboxone®), methadone, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP), THC, proproxyphene, benzodiazepines, cocaine, ethanol, amphetamines, and barbiturates. In addition, special screening tests for other less commonly abused drugs may be available upon request.

Customizable Protocols

To better serve physicians, Calloway offers several protocols to meet the needs of specific markets. These have been designed by industry experts to encompass the entire drug testing lifecycle – from how specimens are collected to the types of tests conducted to the formatting of reports. Further we work with each physician to customize our protocols to better address unique requirements.

In-House Confirmation by GC/MS, LC/MS-MS, Laser

Calloway’s Pain Care Protocols include confirmation testing following the initial screen. Not only was Calloway one of the first laboratories to offer in-house Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) and Liquid Chromatography Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS_MS), it is now the only toxicology lab to use laser technology in the confirmation process. This significantly reduces turnaround time and increases accuracy.

Medical Review

All drugs tests performed by Calloway are reviewed by third-party physicians who are board-certified toxicologists. They compare the drug test results with prescribed medications to identify inconsistencies. Comments from these specialists are automatically appended to Calloway's test results for easy reference.

Web Portal

Calloway provides physicians real-time access to test results via its secure website. This portal contains a variety of useful tools including a statistical report card on patient base compliance, ordering supplies and status of all outstanding tests.

Electronic Patient Records

An increasing number of medical offices use electronic patient management systems. Soon insurers and regulatory agencies will require patient records to be entirely electronic. Recognizing this trend, Calloway offers the ability for its test results to be transmitted into electronic patient management systems using HL7 – the industry standard for transferring health care information. Using this service, test results automatically appear in patient records when completed.

Third-party Billing

Calloway handles all billing through third-party insurance carriers. This includes government programs like Medicare and Medicaid, and commercial insurers like Blue Cross/Blue Shield. This means that the benefits of Calloway’s drug testing services are available without administrative effort or financial obligation.
