Calloway Celebrates 4th Year
Calloway Labs celebrated its fourth successful year of growth this past September. Beginning in late 2003 with three employees in a one room laboratory, the company has grown to 180 people serving over 1,000 doctors and substance abuse facilities in 23 states. Its new state-of-the-art facility in Woburn, Massachusetts will accommodate growth for the next three years. “I’m delighted with how far Calloway has come in such a short time,” said Arthur Levitan, the company’s founder. “The Calloway team has truly delivered on our original vision that a customer-centric company can succeed in this competitive marketplace.”

Calloway’s HL7 Interface Now Available for Electronic Test Results
This summer Calloway implemented a new laboratory automation system (LIMS). In addition to better reporting capabilities, Calloway can now interface with the medical records systems at physician offices, clinics and hospitals. Using the HL7 interface standard, drug test results from Calloway can be electronically sent to other medical systems.
Calloway Adds New Confirmation Technology
Calloway recently added new technology to maintain its position as the leader in toxicology testing. The addition of cutting edge technology includes Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry equipment. This enables confirmation testing for drugs that cannot be tested using other confirmation techniques including Benzodiazepines and Buprenorphine.
Calloway Adds Enhanced Report Capabilities
Leveraging its new laboratory automation system, Calloway has created a proprietary reporting portal so that customers can view test results in a variety of convenient ways. The new reporting capability includes the following features:
